About the role
- Wells Fargo seeks a seasoned technical leader to manage Network Engineering teams and drive automation. Collaborate on network infrastructure design and resolve advanced support issues in a hybrid office.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop teams of individual contributors and managers in roles with moderate complexity and risk maintaining the enterprise network
- Collaborate with network engineers and Information Technology Team to design and implement the company's network infrastructure, resolving advanced support issues
- Engage and influence stakeholders, internal partners and peers associated with the Network Engineering function
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
- Manage network, delegate tasks and ensure networking team performs as a cohesive unit, maintaining the stability and performance of network
- Determine appropriate strategy and actions of Network Engineering team to meet moderate to high risk deliverables
- Interpret and develop policies and procedures for Network Engineering functions with moderate complexity within scope of responsibility
- Create and implement network security measures
- Develop a backup disaster recovery plan for a network emergency
- Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including managers
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Network Engineering
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Requirements
- 6+ years of Network Engineering experience
- 3+ years of management or leadership experience
- Strong understanding of network automation fundamentals, tools, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible RedHat, GitHub, HPNA, PowerShell)
- High-level knowledge of Arista, Cisco Meraki, Cisco Viptela, and FortiNet
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to coach and mentor individual contributors and less experienced managers
