About the role
- Experienced Network Engineer troubleshooting network solutions for Leidos. Collaborating with teams to ensure network optimization and performance with OCONUS travel.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network appliances (routers, switches, and firewalls)
- Monitor entire network infrastructure (LAN & WAN) and provide regular reporting
- Collaborate closely with the Chief Engineer to ensure network optimization and the completion of other tasks
- Ensure network uptime, performance, and security
- Document and enforce network standards
- Manage and maintain IP addressing schema
- Travel OCONUS as needed
- Maintain network lab in Chantilly, VA
Requirements
- Must have at least a Bachelor's and at least 18 years of experience OR Master's degree and at least 15 years experience depending on education, training, skills and experience.
- Active/current basic CCNA certification
- Solid understanding of OSI or TCP/IP model
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring, network diagnostics, and network analytics tools
- Experience configuring/troubleshooting Cisco appliances
- Experience configuring/troubleshooting routing and switching, including routing protocols
- Experience writing scripts for Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb 30 ft.
