Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large-scale planning and strategy development for technology solutions
- Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs, including upgrades and deployments
- Review and address moderately complex technical challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve technical issues and lead a team to meet client needs, leveraging a solid understanding of functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve project goals
- Act as an escalation point, providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Requirements
- 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on Java development
- 5+ years of experience in developing microservices and working with MongoDB and Kafka
- 3+ years hands-on experience with container-based technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- 3+ years of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
