About the role
- Vendor Manager responsible for managing key strategic partnerships in a fast-growing fintech startup. Focused on optimizing vendor relationships to support healthcare financing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage strategic vendor relationships across payments, lending, and healthcare services partners
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned vendor accounts
- Negotiate and manage contracts, SLAs, pricing, and performance metrics
- Monitor vendor KPIs and drive accountability on service levels, reliability, and innovation
- Partner with Product to align roadmaps and integrations with vendor capabilities
- Collaborate with Operations and Service teams to resolve escalations and improve workflows
- Identify new partnership opportunities that support growth and product expansion
- Lead quarterly business reviews and strategic planning sessions with vendors
- Ensure vendors comply with regulatory, security, and healthcare industry standards
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing complex external partnerships in fintech, payments, healthcare IT, or SaaS environments
- Experience in vendor management, strategic partnerships, or account management
- Strong contract negotiation and relationship management skills
- Familiarity with PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and financial services compliance standards
- Excellent communication skills, executive presence, and cross-functional leadership ability
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or industry certifications a plus
