About the role
- Trainee / Junior AI Engineer supporting real customer projects at WE BUILD AI. Working with AI applications including automation solutions and machine learning models in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Support in designing and implementing AI-powered software solutions that automate and improve process efficiency
- Contribute to the deployment and application of existing machine learning models
- Develop backend services and APIs in Python, e.g., using FastAPI
- Gain hands-on experience with cloud-based AI services
- Work with structured and unstructured data
- Ensure the quality and reliability of AI components, e.g., through testing, validation and robust error handling
- Collaborate closely with AI experts, internal teams and clients
Requirements
- Interest in working independently and willingness to learn new topics and areas of responsibility
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science or a related field
- Initial practical experience in Python development
- Basic knowledge of working with machine learning models and large language models (LLMs)
- Some exposure to cloud computing is a plus (e.g., Azure, AWS or GCP)
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Enthusiasm for new technologies and the practical application of AI
- Analytical thinking and a structured working style
