About the role

• Senior Consultant for SAP S/4HANA Finance processes at Wavestone in Vienna. Leading projects and optimizing finance operations for clients with a focus on AI-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• You design forward-looking, AI-powered finance processes.
• You lead SAP (sub-)projects as part of S/4HANA transformations.
• You manage the entire project lifecycle: from capturing the current "as‑is" processes through developing a roadmap to rolling out the new SAP S/4HANA system environment.
• You actively contribute to the continuous development of the team’s strategy and portfolio.
• You engage in positioning our consulting services, identify opportunities and pursue them with support from your coach.
• You assume leadership responsibilities in projects and act as a subject-matter coach for colleagues.

Requirements

• You have prior consulting experience (in-house or external) in SAP implementation or redesign projects within finance and accounting.
• You have strong system knowledge in the FI module (CO is a plus) and a solid understanding of value flows in finance and accounting.
• You proactively drive topics forward and show initiative in shaping the team’s growth.
• You possess strong analytical and conceptual skills combined with an understanding of the feasibility of functional requirements.
• Ideally, you have initial experience in S/4HANA transformation projects.
• You are business-fluent in German and have very good English skills.
• You enjoy occasional travel to client sites.
