- Associate Engineer for Broadcast IT management during live productions and daily operations. Responsible for technical success at Warner Bros. Discovery events, requiring troubleshooting and support skills.
Responsibilities
- Associate Engineer responsible for technical success of WBD live and taped events
- Assisting on-site Engineer-in-Charge for broadcast productions
- Is a technology point person for studio and production control room productions
- Provides tier 2 support, including troubleshooting wiring of studio cameras, set monitors, audio, lighting and ethernet connections
- Participate in on-site and remote training on technical systems utilized for day-to-day operation
- Clearly communicate amongst team and production staff
- Create or update documentation for equipment inventory, status and workflows
- Work with partners to satisfy their needs and requests
- Serve as an information gatherer for Engineering team
- Cultivate cooperative relationships between customers and Engineering staff
- Provide daily reporting related to operational issues and/or Air impacting events
- Assist in executing the development, testing and implementation of new systems, software and equipment
- Create and maintain documentation
- Maintain follow-up with appropriate parties to ensure resolution
- With the guidance of Lead and Senior Engineers, implement production technology system repairs or upgrades
Requirements
- 1+ Years of experience in television, multimedia content, or broadcast maintenance
- A four-year engineering degree (or equivalent work experience in Live Broadcast engineering field)
- Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot and repair broadcast and computer equipment
- Basic understanding audio/video signal flow and routing
- Knowledge of computer desktop hardware/applications and data networking
- DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS (NOT MANDATORY): Knowledge of Intercom Systems used in production environments
- Basic understanding of SMPTE 2110 Evertz Routing Systems and Magnum Control
- CCNA Certification or Networking background
