- Partner directly with business leaders and product teams, translating business goals into analytical approaches and clearly communicating insights in plain language.
- Leverage SQL, Python, Power BI, and GenAI tools to explore data, engineer features, and build scalable solutions that operate in production environments.
- Support and enhance GenAI agents, collaborating closely with teams shaping Sam’s Club’s next-generation analytics and decision-support capabilities.
- Create compelling visualizations and narratives that drive action—not just reports.
Requirements
- Option 1: Bachelors degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
- Option 2: Masters degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- Option 3: 4 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
- A strong foundation in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools like Power BI, applied to real business problems.
- Experience using statistical analysis, exploratory data analysis, and analytical modeling to generate insights that influence decisions.
- Comfort working in business-facing environments, explaining complex data concepts in clear, practical terms.
- Exposure to GenAI & LLMs with curiosity and enthusiasm for where the field is headed.
- The ability to work independently - seeing problems through from ambiguity to solution, while communicating risks and roadblocks transparently.
- A collaborative mindset and interest in mentoring and learning, contributing to a high-performing, growth-oriented team.
