About the role
- Senior Software Engineer developing systems to enhance Walmart's Experimentation Platform. Collaborating within an agile team to drive data-driven decision-making and customer experience enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Help drive a culture of experimentation and data-driven decision-making
- Develop and scale efficient and reliable systems and pipelines to support teams globally throughout Walmart
- Work in an agile and diverse engineering team
- Lead and participate in medium- to large-scale projects by reviewing requirements, translating requirements into technical solutions, designing solutions, writing and developing code, testing, and troubleshooting open issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
- 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area (Option 2)
- Proven software development expertise with one or more: Java, Scala, Lua, Go, Rust, Node
- Maintaining and deploying computing environments across local and cloud-based systems
- Experience developing and maintaining large-scale systems
- Ability to proactively manage projects and troubleshoot issues
