About the role

  • Business Continuity Manager developing and maintaining BCM systems at VOLKSWOHL BUND. Conducting analyses, and creating emergency plans while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS)
  • Conduct Business Impact Analyses (BIA) and risk assessments
  • Develop emergency and recovery plans (BCP) together with business units
  • Plan and conduct regular emergency and crisis management exercises
  • Develop and maintain effective communication and escalation channels for crisis situations

Requirements

  • Degree in business, computer science, security management or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in Business Continuity Management (or crisis/risk management, ideally in a regulated industry)
  • Familiarity with common BCM standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 22301, BSI 200-4)
  • Ideally, knowledge of regulatory requirements in the insurance sector (e.g., BaFin guidelines, DORA)
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Analytical mindset and a structured, independent working style
