About the role
- Internship in User Experience focusing on innovative AI-enabled experiences at CARIAD, an automotive software company in the Volkswagen Group. Supporting UX/UI team with user research and interface design tasks.
Responsibilities
- Support the UX/UI team in working on innovative ideas and technologies across various pre-development projects
- Understand users: describe usage contexts and identify user needs (including desk research and user research)
- Derive requirements: formulate and specify user requirements
- Design the user interface: further develop or redesign functions and features according to the defined user requirements
- Validate: analyze the user experience, including usability, by conducting qualitative and quantitative studies and evaluating the collected data
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Human–Machine Interaction (e.g., Human Factors, Psychology, Media Informatics, or a comparable field)
- Knowledge of user experience (UX) methods and the User-Centered Design Process (UCDP)
- Experience conducting user research (e.g., contextual analyses, validations including usability tests) and/or prototyping
- Experience analyzing qualitative and quantitative data (e.g., with MaxQDA, R, SPSS)
- Strong team skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and other teams
- Analytical, structured, and reliable approach to work
- Very good German skills (at least B2) and very good English skills
