About the role
- Principal Data Analyst overseeing critical analytics, frameworks, and executive decision-making. Elevating analytical maturity and mentoring team analysts while driving strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Be the analytical authority on Smiles' critical topics, setting direction (frameworks, metrics, causality, governance) and unlocking executive-level decisions with high impact and scale.
- Define analytics frameworks and standards (North Star, metrics tree, experiment/causality methodology, dashboard guidelines) and ensure adoption.
- Lead multi-area strategic "bets" with complex problems and a high degree of uncertainty, connecting product/business/data and elevating decision-making maturity.
- Serve as an internal consultant to the executive board: craft executive narratives, prioritize by impact, risk and effort, and validate results.
- Mentor and act as a technical reference for team analysts with the objective of developing successors (capability building, learning tracks, quality calibration).
Requirements
- Proven track record of delivering impact (decisions/revenue/cost/experience) through analyses and experiments.
- Strong command of applied statistics and causal design/inference.
- Bachelor's degree or completed technologist degree.
- Ability to lead without formal authority and align multiple teams, with impeccable executive communication.
- Experience with personalization/applied ML and designing metrics systems for digital products/marketplaces.
