About the role
- Provide functional support for equity and derivatives trading tools at VO2 Finance. Collaborate with users and teams to ensure operations continuity and enhance platform performance.
Responsibilities
- Daily support for Front Office and Middle Office users on various issues they may encounter with the use or availability of their tools
- Analyze issues and propose immediate, business-aware solutions to ensure continuity of their activities
- Gather user requirements and contribute, in collaboration with development teams
- Daily oversight of production deployments, configuration changes and availability of Front Office applications
- Contribute to migrations (technical and functional) and continuous improvement of the booking platform
- Support and incident management for booking tools
- Contribute to the maintenance and evolution of the platform
- Contribute to automation of recurring tasks
- Primary interface between Trading, Middle Office, Development and Production teams
- Post-production support during project go-lives for restructurings/rationalizations (Front to Accounting, regulatory) or business development
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for better collaboration among application functional support stakeholders (Montreal, Paris and Mumbai)
- Contribute to and potentially lead support and automation improvement initiatives based on in-depth technical investigations
- Develop support tools
- Maintain and support scripts
- Provide on-site hands-on assistance to users
Requirements
- Degree from an engineering school or equivalent, with at least 2 years' experience (including work-study) within a major banking group in Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB)
- Strong knowledge of financial instruments, in particular equities and equity derivatives
- Comfortable with Python and SQL
- Fluent English required
