About the role
- Lead Architect defining and evolving software architecture for Carrier Aggregation Platform at a growing telecom IT company. Collaborating closely with development teams and leadership roles in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for defining and advancing the software and system architecture of our Carrier Aggregation Platform (CAP)
- Architecture governance: ensuring standards, guidelines and best practices
- Design and review of complex, distributed systems
- Close collaboration with development teams, requirements management and the CTO/CIO
- Mentoring for our architects and developers
- Support for DevOps strategies and test management
- Evaluation of new technologies and development of architecture roadmaps
- Support for make-or-buy decisions and integration strategies
Requirements
- Proven experience in establishing and evolving architecture governance
- Strong skills in designing and structuring complex software architectures, including target architecture and roadmaps
- Experience with TM Forum Open Digital Architecture, Open APIs and telco best practices
- Preferably knowledge of security, compliance and regulation (e.g., TKG (German Telecommunications Act), ISO 27001, KRITIS)
- Experience in developing technical standards and guidelines
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills with diverse stakeholders
- High degree of independence, sense of responsibility and enjoyment of teamwork
- Strong technical foundation in modern software stacks
- Proven routine in analyzing and evaluating existing architectures
- Excellent written and spoken German and English
