About the role
- Lead Architect defining and developing software architecture for Carrier Aggregation Platform in telecommunications. Collaborate with development teams and CTO/CIO, providing guidance and standards.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for defining and further developing the software and system architecture of our Carrier Aggregation Platform (CAP)
- Architecture governance: ensuring standards, guidelines and best practices
- Designing and reviewing complex, distributed systems
- Close collaboration with development teams, requirements management and the CTO/CIO
- Mentoring for our architects and developers
- Supporting DevOps strategies and test management
- Evaluating new technologies and deriving architecture roadmaps
- Supporting make-or-buy decisions and integration strategies
Requirements
- Proven experience establishing and evolving architecture governance
- Strong ability to design and structure complex software architectures, including target architecture and roadmap
- Experience with TM Forum Open Digital Architecture, Open APIs and telco best practices
- Ideally knowledge in security, compliance and regulation (Telecommunications Act - TKG, ISO 27001, KRITIS)
- Experience developing technical standards and guidelines
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills across diverse stakeholders
- High degree of independence, sense of responsibility and enjoyment of collaboration
- Strong technical foundation in modern software stacks
- Routine in analysing and assessing existing architectures
- Excellent written and spoken German and English
