About the role
- Senior Accountant managing clients' accounting records and tax compliance in Bulgaria. Preparing financial statements and maintaining client communication in accordance with local regulations.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance of the accounting records of clients in accordance with local regulations;
- Preparation and submission of clients’ VAT returns and tax returns in accordance with local regulations;
- Registration and communication with the tax authorities in regard to on-going accounting or tax issues of the clients;
- Assisting in preparation of the client’s financial statements in accordance with their specific requirements;
- Assisting in participating in month end, quarter end and year end closings;
- Maintaining good relations with clients and identifying their needs and potential issues;
- Working on in-house accounting software and client software as well;
- Issuing sales invoices, Preparation of payment orders in clients’ portals, processing payment approvals;
- Assisting in VAT recovery procedures;
- Performing individually or as part of a team of any other tasks assigned additionally by the direct manager.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of CIT Act, VAT Act, National accounting standards and other relevant accounting legislation.
- Very good command of Bulgarian and English language.
- Good computer literacy - MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Experience with working on different ERP Systems
- At least 2+ years accounting experience
- University degree in Accounting, Finance or any other relevant discipline.
