About the role

• Software Developer creating custom software solutions for IT services at Axians. Collaborating closely with clients and utilizing agile methodologies and modern tools in Wien.

Responsibilities

• Develop bespoke/custom software solutions and independently implement requirements
• Maintain existing programs and ensure their stability
• Collaborate closely with clients in support and communication
• Actively shape digitalization processes — strategically and analytically
• Work in an agile environment using modern tools such as Jira and Confluence

Requirements

• Completed education (e.g., vocational school (HAS), commercial/business school (HAK), University of Applied Sciences (FH), or university) with an IT focus, or an equivalent qualification
• Several years of professional experience in software development, ideally in custom client solutions
• Knowledge of RPG (IV or Free), COBOL, or another procedural programming language
• Experience with relational databases, interfaces (REST, XML, JSON), and tools such as Postman or SoapUI
• Structured, quality-conscious and self-directed working style within a team, with a willingness to continue learning
