About the role

• Platform Engineer developing container, AI, and Internal Developer Platforms for cloud transformation in Swiss companies. Collaborating with teams to enhance developer productivity and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Are you ready to actively shape the cloud transformation of leading Swiss companies?
• As a Platform Engineer at Axians Amanox you will develop state-of-the-art container, AI and Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) that enable developer teams to work faster and more efficiently – from classic private cloud solutions to public cloud platforms and hybrid environments.
• Design and implement scalable container platforms using Red Hat OpenShift, Nutanix Kubernetes Platform and hyperscaler solutions in private, hybrid and multi-cloud environments
• Build Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) that provide developer teams with self-service access to infrastructure and significantly increase their productivity
• Build AI platforms based on Kubernetes for developing and hosting AI language models and ML applications
• Architect and design cloud-native solutions with a focus on scalability, high availability and security best practices
• Container orchestration and management of complex Kubernetes clusters in enterprise environments
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools such as Terraform, Ansible or CloudFormation for automation and standardization
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines with OpenShift Pipelines, AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins as well as GitOps tools (Argo CD, Flux)
• Implement monitoring & observability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack and OpenShift-native tools
• Automate deployments, configuration management and platform operations
• Integrate security best practices across the entire platform (Security by Design)

• Certifications such as Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift (RCOA), Nutanix Certified Professional - Cloud Native (NCP-CN) or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) (Nice to have)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their Kubernetes services (EKS, AKS, GKE) (Nice to have)
• Experience in planning and implementing AI platforms and their development tools (Nice to have)
• Knowledge of hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) (Nice to have)
• Programming skills in Python, Go, Bash or similar languages (Nice to have)
• Experience with monitoring & observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Zabbix) (Nice to have)
• Understanding of GitOps practices and tools such as Argo CD or Flux (Nice to have)
• Knowledge of service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, etc.) (Nice to have)
• Experience with Kubernetes CNI solutions (Cilium, Calico, OVN, etc.) (Nice to have)
