About the role
- Strategic Buyer managing technical procurement across global projects. Engaging with suppliers and executing global contracts for advanced currency management solutions at G+D.
Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the strategic procurement of technical trades and services for our global project business
- You independently prepare and execute global tenders and conduct contract negotiations
- You negotiate existing and new purchasing contracts in cooperation with our legal experts
- You ensure efficient collaboration between suppliers, project teams, procurement and quality
- You are responsible for the design, shaping and continuous development of your material groups (categories)
- You drive supplier development using established tools and methods
- Develop and further develop new/existing cash centers up to the delivery of turnkey solutions
Requirements
- You hold a completed academic degree, e.g., in industrial engineering, computer science or a comparable qualification
- You bring relevant professional experience in this area, preferably in an international environment
- You are familiar with common methods in strategic procurement
- You have enthusiasm for project-based business
- You demonstrate an analytical mindset, a holistic process-oriented approach and strong communication skills
- You also bring a high level of negotiation and assertiveness, excellent organizational skills, a strategic and solution-oriented way of working and the ability to work independently
- You have business-fluent English and German (written and spoken), and occasional travel to our suppliers is expected
