About the role
- Leading a team of IT Solution Architects for a major digital transformation at a Swiss insurance company. Driving architectural strategy and managing team development with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Application Solution Architects (5 people)
- Define and implement the solution architecture strategy; enrich the architecture repository with standards, design patterns and best practices
- Oversee architects’ support during the analysis and design phases of digital transformation projects
- Maintain continuous technology watch, develop a clear solution architecture vision and propagate it across the organization
- Support the upskilling of your team as well as project delivery teams
- Manage relationships with suppliers and external/internal partners
- Drive governance related to decision-making needs within the solution architecture domain
Requirements
- University-level degree in computer science (e.g., HES, Bachelor or Master from EPFL)
- 10+ years of IT experience across various roles and environments, including a minimum of 5 years managing a team of experts/architects
- Proven ability to translate business capabilities and future requirements into solution architecture requirements
- Experience with large-scale transformation programmes and with integration and transition challenges
- Expertise in cloud migration, particularly Microsoft Azure, SaaS solutions and development using current technologies
- Experience managing an enterprise architecture repository, ideally using a product (Sparx, IRIS, LeanIX, BiZZdesign, etc.)
- Excellent analytical, planning and organisational skills
- Languages: French – fluent / English – minimum B2
