Responsibilities
- Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew
- Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew
- Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions
- Leads a team responsible for conducting research and making recommendations on new investment products
- Conducts deep analysis of strategic, competitive, client and market issues related to Vanguard's investment product line-up
- Gathers qualitative and quantitative data from internal and external sources
- Develops and implements plans to achieve departmental objectives
- Works with other department leaders in planning, development, and execution of short- and long-range goals
- Identifies strategic topics and presents research to business leadership
- Serves as a thought leader to determine optimal product lineups to meet investor needs
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Eight years related work experience
- Five years experience in product management and investment analysis/strategy
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Graduate degree preferred
