About the role
- Senior Data Analyst providing insights and recommendations to support Vanguard's strategic initiatives. Engaging with internal partners and developing the analytics community.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes data, assesses trends and develops actionable insights and recommendations
- Actively develops the analytics community at Vanguard by coaching others internally
- Daily hands-on work with SQL, visualization, python, statistical modeling and analysis
- Engages with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions and goals
- Brings structure to business requests, translates requirements into an analytical project approach
- Delegates tasks and provides tactical and strategic guidance to peers
- Serves as the analytics expert on cross-functional teams for large strategic initiatives
- Acquires and compiles structured and unstructured data and verifies quality and accuracy
- Performs analyses of historical data using advanced analytical methods
- Validates analytical techniques employed by other analysts
- Prepares and delivers expert level visualizations and internal presentations
Requirements
- Minimum of five years related work experience
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Preference will be given to those with a graduate degree in analytics
- Risk, Control, and Oversight domain experience preferred
- Data Science preferred
