About the role

• Tools Engineer developing logistics tool solutions for airports. Collaborating on software for facility planning and improving processes in a global environment.

Responsibilities

• You capture complex requirements for tool-supported planning of logistics facilities across different trades (e.g., mechanical, electrical, PLC software)
• You identify general problem areas in current processes and workflows through communication with stakeholders
• You take responsibility for defined process areas and the associated tools developed by our team
• You design the architecture of internally used planning tools and actively contribute to implementation as part of the development team
• You aim to quickly and reliably provide solutions when stakeholders encounter urgent issues with the planning tools
• You continuously drive improvements of our shared assets (tools, processes, ways of working, documentation, etc.)
• This includes the definition of activities (development, testing, integration and support instructions) and the coordination of their execution
• As a team player and communicator, you work in a motivated and qualified team in a global environment.

Requirements

• At least several years of professional experience in a relevant field
• Experience in analyzing and optimizing engineering processes, preferably in facility/plant planning
• Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders and the internal team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English
• Strong programming skills, preferably in C#
• Solid knowledge of computer science concepts and a basic understanding of modern software architectures
• Basic knowledge of databases
• Experience in backend development
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methods (LEAN) is a plus
• Basic knowledge of artificial intelligence is desirable
