About the role

  • Regional Quality Manager providing Quality Assurance guidance for concrete manufacturing locations. Evaluating quality metrics and implementing solutions to meet quality standards while minimizing costs.

Responsibilities

  • The Regional Quality Manager (RQM) is responsible for providing Quality Assurance guidance and support to their respective manufacturing locations.
  • Evaluate quality metrics, including Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) data, identifying areas of opportunity, and implementing solutions.
  • Work directly with plant management to help them understand quality performance and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assess all quality metrics to determine the best opportunities to reduce costs.
  • Provide overall QA guidance to manufacturing site quality personnel.
  • Guide and support QC teams to recognize, prevent, and correct defects before they reach customers.
  • Provide containment, root cause, and corrective action guidance to respective plants.
  • Ensure standardized inspection processes are in place and communicate these requirements clearly to QC teams.
  • Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Support QMS compliance and lead customer and third party audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience, associate’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience or 10 years of relevant experience
  • Previous supervisory experience in a production or Quality Assurance role in a fabrication environment
  • Experience in the concrete industry
  • Familiar with QC concrete testing methods and NDT methods
  • Capable of interpreting production drawings, and internal and external specifications to distinguish between conforming and non-conforming products
  • Comfortable using and explaining best judgement regarding specification interpretation on a regular basis
  • Above average proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other computer programs as needed
  • The ability to accurately disseminate industry specific information to QC personnel as well as frame the same information in a way that anyone can understand
  • Six Sigma Green Belt
