Senior Analyst in Commodity Derivatives Products Operations at U.S. Bank, focusing on operational initiatives and collaborating with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Process daily settlements and payments, including investigating and resolving any breaks or discrepancies
Generate, review, and match trade confirmations with counterparties
Resolve pricing, cash, and quantity differences with clients and trading desk
Work closely with traders, clients, legal, and technology teams to resolve operational issues
Support trade lifecycle events including amendments, novations, cancellations, and new trades
Assist with system configuration, testing, and process improvements (Calypso platform)
Handle high-volume workflows, especially during month-end settlement cycles
Manage operational tasks ranging from routine processing to complex problem solving
Requirements
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Typically six or more years of related experience
In-depth knowledge and working experience of Commodity Derivatives market, asset classes, various derivative products offered and an inquisitive mind
Advanced proficiency with Excel Functions and VBA Knowledge is a plus
Strong understanding of Calypso or similar trading platform
Proficient ability to write, troubleshoot and implement macro enabled tools to improve process efficiencies
Experience with audit/regulatory issue management, response, and escalation
Demonstrated experience in the successful implementation of operational process change and improvement within capital markets operations
Strong process facilitation and project management skills
Strong presentation, relationship building, collaboration and negotiation skills
Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently without direct supervision.
