About the role
- Fund Accountant managing the general ledger and net asset value calculations at U.S. Bank while ensuring compliance with SEC regulations and GAAP principles. Partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger and records of mutual funds and closed-end funds
- Produce end of day net asset value calculation
- Prepare daily general ledger accounting, cash reconciliations, and corporate action application
- Ensure all Fund Accounting functions are in compliance with SEC regulations and GAAP principles
- Partner with various internal/external administrators, transfer agencies, and prime brokers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
- One to two years of experience in accounting or finance activities
- Thorough knowledge of accounting, reporting, and analysis
- Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications
