About the role
- Network Engineer handling design, implementation, and management of enterprise network infrastructure using Cisco technologies. Troubleshooting issues across routers, switches, and firewalls in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, test, and troubleshoot USAN’s routers, switches, and firewalls
- Produce network diagrams, IP engineering documentation, and related technical materials
- Program and troubleshoot Layer‑2 and Layer‑3 switching hardware
- Program and troubleshoot Cisco routing equipment
- Design, deploy, and troubleshoot firewall connectivity including access control rules, VPN, DMVPN, MPLS, and wireless technologies
- Participate in and follow established change management procedures
- Provide third‑level support for all network and firewall‑related issues
- Perform additional duties as assigned by department leadership
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting Cisco‑based networks, firewalls, switches, and routers
- Experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting routed and switched corporate networks using Cisco routers and Layer‑2/Layer‑3 switches
- Strong proficiency with Cisco ASA and Cisco Firepower security platforms
- Familiarity with routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, DMVPN, and RIP
- Hands‑on experience with AWS networking services such as VPC, Security Groups, routing, and VPN
- Experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Network Access Control (NAC) systems such as Cisco ISE or FortiNAC
- Proficiency with Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Change Management and ITIL practices
- Ability to document network architecture, procedures, and engineering standards
- Experience using diagramming tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or similar
