About the role

  • Senior Network Engineer responsible for designing and maintaining secure corporate networks at Envista. Leading WAN/LAN/DC solutions and implementing Zero Trust network security measures.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan and maintain a cost effective, reliable and secure corporate network.
  • Recommend and implement WAN/LAN/DC concepts with a strong focus on network security in coordination with the team.
  • Take ownership of new projects throughout their lifecycle, from initial evaluation to configuration and final implementation, ensuring successful completion and delivery.
  • Implement and maintain Zero Trust network security measures to establish a robust security posture, minimize the attack surface, and mitigate the risk of unauthorized access.
  • Proactive monitoring of performance and ensure system availability, reliability and capacity planning.
  • Identify and troubleshoot network problems.
  • Perform network assessments and recommend improvements to optimize network performance.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and make informed decisions regarding the selection and adoption of new technologies.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in the field of computing or computer science or a related field.
  • 7+ years of recent network engineering expertise supporting an enterprise environment
  • WAN: SD-WAN Quality of Service (QoS)
  • Security: Palo Alto advanced knowledge (Global infrastructure management, Panorama, Distributed User-ID, advanced Global Protect configuration)
  • F5 configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Cisco ISE distributed deployment (Wireless 802.1x, Wired 802.1x, Guest, IoT, TACACS+)
  • Cisco ASA (with routed-VPN implementation and troubleshooting)
  • PKI Knowledge
  • Proficiency in Zscaler (desirable)
  • Wireless: Cisco WLC 802.1x and MAB Distributed Flexconnect deployments
  • Datacenter: Nexus VMware vSphere knowledge
  • Cloud: AWS Azure
  • Cisco expertise – CCNP certification or equivalent level.
  • Strong security experience with firewall technologies, installation, maintenance and support.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Managed Service Provider experience
