About the role

  • Instructional Content Developer creating multimedia lessons and quizzes for GCSE Science courses at Up Learn. Collaborating with a small team to produce engaging educational content and ensure quality assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality visual assets (animations and diagrams) that align with our animation style guide and multimedia learning principles.
  • Fix past issues on live courses where required.
  • Collaborate with a small team to meet weekly, monthly and quarterly deadlines.
  • Take part in feedback loops, constantly improving composition and team working skills.
  • Support other content developers in their work, ensuring technical accuracy throughout the project.
  • Ensure all quiz content is accurate, high quality, and meet our guidelines for item design.
  • Use graphic creation tools to create suitable diagrams where quizzes require them.
  • Review and edit lesson scripts for technical accuracy and clarity.

Requirements

  • Strong subject knowledge in chemistry, biology and physics (ideally with fluency in maths up to A-Level)
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools
  • Clear and accurate written communication
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines
  • Experience creating multimedia content, educational or otherwise
  • Experience teaching or tutoring science/maths
  • Some experience with programming
  • Experience using generative AI tools
