About the role

  • Conduct in-depth data explorations and analysis to be consumed by Senior Management, Finance, Accounting, Risk, and Product teams to enhance targeting, increase revenue, and allocate resources more efficiently.
  • Translate business questions and objectives into concrete metrics and KPIs.
  • Implement and automate dashboards and reports that feed on data to support decision-making.
  • Develop dashboards to support the monitoring of new features and new network integrations launched.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance & Accounting and Product teams to identify data-enabled solutions to challenges such as cash flow management, reconciliation, risk assessment, and regulatory reporting.
  • Build and communicate compelling financial data stories—clearly and concisely—both orally and via dashboards, visualizations, and reports that highlight profitability, risk, compliance, and growth opportunities.
  • Design customized interfaces to expose internal data to key stakeholders.
  • Guarantee data quality on both operational systems and offline datasets.
  • Help data engineers with the design, implementation, and maintenance of data pipelines.
  • Design and conduct A/B(/n) tests to evaluate and continuously improve neobanking services and products.
  • Develop domain expertise on digitized financial assets to bring an advanced level of understanding to analyses.
  • Contribute to the definition of overarching processes and practices across the Data Team and the rest of the company.
  • Evangelize a data-driven culture throughout Uphold’s multiple business units.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, economics, statistics, informatics, data science, or engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of probability, descriptive, and inferential statistics.
  • Strong knowledge of Python and SQL.
  • Experience working with data warehousing solutions and leveraging data models in a cloud-based environment.
  • Proven ability to transform the results of complex data transformation procedures into concrete decisions and actions.
  • Ability to lead small projects from conception and design through implementation to delivery and communication.
  • Drive to grow as a well-rounded data analyst in quantitative methods, software engineering, communication, and business.
  • Creativity, curiosity, and a growth mindset.
  • Team player with the ability to work within cross-functional teams.
  • Value and results-oriented, with a keen eye for quality of deliverables.
  • Fluent written and oral English skills.
