Build and implement short, medium and long-term customer growth strategies
Using a consultative sales approach, discover new business opportunities and grow Univar Solutions' presence at existing key accounts
Keep detailed records of all activities in Salesforce
Provide professional input on complex assignments and projects and provide direction to more junior professionals
Responsible for setting pricing and service levels, maintaining and coordinating customer quotations, or providing vital information to allow local branches to do so
Responsible for coordinating with Local Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure accurate inventory levels and overall customer satisfaction
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of sales experience managing large corporate accounts in the CASE (raw chemicals) industry
Sales experience in manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or chemical industry sales is preferred
Bachelor’s degree is preferred (Technical Science, Chemistry), or equivalent experience
Ability as both an effective leader and teammate
Deep understanding of business, financials, products/services, the market or the needs/challenges of assigned accounts
Strong communication skills and the ability to develop strong, successful business relationships with customers and internal teammates
Excellent digital literacy, including MS Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint as well as CRM platforms such as Salesforce.com
Strong business insight, including an understanding of the business relationship between manufacturers, distributors, and end-users
