About the role

  • Junior Lawyer responsible for consulting and legal support at medical cooperatives in Brazil. Focus on labor law, union activities, and legal research within a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support for collective bargaining with professional unions, in alignment with the labor legal counsel and the organization's presidency.
  • Draft legal opinions in the areas of Labor Law, Union Law, and Social Security Law, focused on defending the interests of the represented cooperatives.
  • Conduct legal research on court jurisprudence, regulator positions, legal doctrines, and economic impacts related to collective labor relations.
  • Draft legal and institutional documents, including minutes, official letters, announcements, and collective instruments.
  • Register collective agreements and conventions with the Ministry of Labor and monitor their legal developments.
  • Handle litigation matters when present, including drafting defenses, legal briefs/memorials, and attending labor hearings.
  • Prepare informational bulletins and legal communications aimed at the represented cooperatives.
  • Support organizing and scheduling meetings, assemblies, seminars, and institutional events of the union.
  • Attend external and institutional events, with occasional travel as required.

Requirements

  • Law degree (complete).
  • Active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).
  • Knowledge of Labor Law, Union Law, and Social Security Law.
  • Knowledge of Labor Procedural Law.
  • Experience drafting legal opinions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; organized work style.
  • Experience with court systems and electronic filing platforms.
  • Previous experience with employers' unions, professional associations, or labor legal advisory services.
  • Prior involvement in collective bargaining, union conventions, or collective agreements.
