About the role

Responsibilities
- Analyze and formalize contracts across the company's various areas. Formalization includes assessing the legal compliance of the company entering into agreements with ABMAIS, as well as adapting the scope and obligations addressed during contract negotiation.
- Conduct document review and legal due diligence on real estate, acting before the property registry and notary offices. Knowledge of the real estate sector, especially urban land subdivisions (lot developments), to support company departments.
- Draft, update and maintain corporate regularization and compliance for the companies/associations that are part of the ABMAIS group by holding meetings/assemblies, updating corporate books/records, handling corporate transformations, and adjusting share capital.
- Prepare responses and issue extrajudicial notifications internally. In the judicial sphere, responsibilities include monitoring cases, providing supporting materials, and participating in meetings to align strategy and manage the companies' judicial and administrative liabilities across all areas of law.
- Resolve general legal queries, prepare legal opinions, and draft responses and documents requested by internal and external clients.
Requirements
- Law degree and active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).
- Postgraduate degree completed or in progress in a field related to the practice area is desirable.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in real estate development (property development) or urban planning.
- Solid knowledge of civil law focused on real estate, contracts, civil liability (torts), obligations, and corporate law. Good understanding of civil procedure as well as labor law and labor procedure.
- Proficient use of the Portuguese language with good grammar.
- Previous experience at land subdivision companies, developers, or law firms specialized in urban planning is a plus.
