About the role

  • Intern supporting creative and operations at Universal Music Group, assisting in various analytical and operational tasks. Requires relevant educational background and commitment to work hours.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and distributing various reports to staff
  • Updating and maintaining internal data systems
  • Building and maintaining forecasting and projection models
  • Data deep dives and analysis projects
  • The commerce department handles E-commerce, retail, and overall consumption.
  • Provide daily release preorder tracking reports on a timely basis.
  • Place, track & communicate Artist Accommodation Orders w/Artist Management & Official Artist Stores.
  • Perform regular QA checks on active web stores to ensure proper shop functionality, marketing copy, and merchandising.
  • Proactively manage music and merchandise inventory levels across all stores and alert appropriate team members when product needs to be replenished.
  • Compile and provide various sales and inventory reports to relevant stakeholders as needed.
  • Liaise with international territories for creation of localized stores and programs, ensuring that all international territories have information they need to replicate various product offerings and campaigns.
  • Execute Weekly Consumption Reporting for Artist Management Teams.
  • Manage Account Plans & Recaps of Priority Projects.
  • Update key UMG controlled playlists at Top Partners.
  • Perform quality control of Commerce details for new release solicitation information.
  • Maintain B2B website assets, uploading artwork and other info for new releases
  • Gather & execute Business Review & Departmental Presentation Decks in PowerPoint.
  • Compile Weekly Commerce submissions for Divisional email blasts.
  • Order and maintain promotional items and manage mailing of items to key accounts.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited two or four-year college/university in the United States, pursuing an undergraduate, graduate and/or law degree
  • Graduating between Spring 2026 - Fall 2028
  • Have access to housing and transportation within the designated city (We do not offer housing or transportation accommodations)
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future (e.g., H1-B, OPT, etc.)
  • Commit to 20 - 40 hours per week (based on individual business area)
