About the role

  • DevOps Engineer responsible for CI/CD pipeline development and automation for urban software solutions. Collaborating with teams to enhance efficiency in software deployment and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the (further) development, deployment and optimization of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines based on Microsoft Azure DevOps, Terraform and ArgoCD for deployments in the Azure Cloud
  • Your mission is to automate our DevOps-driven process from development through testing and staging to production.
  • You will automate the processes for provisioning new environments around our open urban data platform.
  • You collaborate closely with development teams to technically implement requirements and ensure our infrastructure runs as efficiently and smoothly as possible.
  • Using your expertise, you will continuously improve our deployment strategy, with particular attention to security aspects.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field
  • Professional experience in the DevOps field and/or with cloud automation
  • Expert knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Kubernetes and the Microsoft Azure cloud
  • Confident communication skills in German and English
  • Team player with a goal- and results-oriented mindset
  • Nice to have, but not required: experience with Microsoft Azure Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) products and technologies such as Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure SQL, Azure Networking, Azure Application Gateway and other serverless services
  • Experience with continuous delivery tools such as Argo CD and Argo Workflows
  • Experience with tools like Trivy and Falco; knowledge of quality assurance and software development practices
