About the role
- Senior administrator leading clinical research within UHP. Responsible for developing junior investigators and assessing research conduct difficulties.
Responsibilities
- Support the UHP CEO and CMO in the development of a strategic approach to supporting and growing clinical and translational research within UHP
- Assess scientific merit of clinical and translational research proposals
- Foster collaborative clinical and translational research within UHP environment
- Serve as a liaison for use of UH infrastructure grants
- Foster the development of research infrastructure within UHP
- Complies with all legal requirements and company policies
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in biomedical science from an accredited college or university
- Post-doctoral training in biomedical research
- At least 10 years health-related research experience
- Experience in project management and research at the principal investigator level
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of clinical trial research
- Knowledge of Federal and local regulations pertaining to human subjects' research
- Strong clinical trial management knowledge
- Proficient in developing reports for leadership oversight
- In-depth knowledge of industry trials with first-hand knowledge of processes
- Knowledge of risk management
- Possesses excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Adheres to the highest standards of professional ethics, conduct and confidentiality
- Demonstrates abilities of independence and self-direction
