Responsibilities
Lead counsel for Two Circles’ North American business, acting as primary legal point of contact for all stakeholders and working as a key part of Two Circles’ global legal team
Responsibility for all aspects of Two Circles’ North American contracting, particularly in relation to product development and SaaS contracts, with significant work also relating to sports content, media and commercial strategy
Supporting on legal aspects of Two Circles’ global technology work on behalf of leading international rights holders and properties, advising on high-profile complex agreements and relevant regulatory/commercial issues
Wide expertise as a generalist in-house counsel and advising colleagues across other areas of law as required (including commercial contracts, data protection, IP, corporate, employment and regulatory) – we don’t expect you to be an expert in all these areas but an ambition to broaden your experience will be crucial
Leading impactful global business change programs, such as innovative implementation of legal tech as Two Circles continues to scale faster and further globally
Requirements
4+ years of experience at a leading law firm and/or corporate legal department
Bachelor’s Degree
License to practice law in NY, California, Missouri or other appropriate state for Two Circles’ business
Significant prior experience negotiating technology contracts and advising on product matters required
Strong commercial acumen and interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate legal knowledge into commercially and operationally oriented solutions
Proactive with a strong sense of personal responsibility to drive the business forward and an ability to work autonomously on a wide variety of projects
Comfortable partnering with senior executives on key strategic decisions, whilst also able to autonomously draft and negotiate client/supplier contracts to a high level
A demonstrable interest in the business of sports and entertainment, familiarity with its technology landscape and a clear ambition to build a long-term career in sports and entertainment
Experience working in sports content and/or commercial strategy preferred
Experience working with or in high-growth technology companies and a desire to take a hands-on approach for developing the business from within
International legal experience in EMEA, Australia, India and/or speaking French or German a working professional standard is advantageous
