About the role

  • Logistics Manager overseeing freight operations at Twelve. Focusing on data-driven insights and operational improvements within logistics coordination and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Own all inbound international shipments into the US across ocean, air, and ground
  • Manage routing, booking, and execution across multiple countries of origin (APAC & EMEA regions)
  • Track all shipments in a centralized system, proactively identifying potential delays and bottlenecks
  • Ensure all shipments are planned, tracked, and delivered against program timelines
  • Anticipate delays and proactively implement mitigation strategies (re-routing, shipping method shifts, etc.)
  • Serve as the central point of truth for shipment status across internal teams
  • Oversee US import compliance including HTS classification, duty rates, and documentation accuracy
  • Partner with brokers and forwarders to ensure proper declarations and avoid delays or penalties
  • Validate duty calculations and ensure alignment with landed cost assumptions
  • Support tariff optimization strategies (e.g., country of origin shifts, classification strategies)
  • Own freight cost validation from quote → invoice → final landed cost
  • Audit and approve all freight invoices, identifying discrepancies and recovering costs where needed
  • Partner with Production & Finance to ensure accurate freight COGS and margin tracking
  • Build and maintain freight benchmarks (cost per CBM/kg, lane-level cost trends, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings through consolidation strategies, and carrier/forwarder negotiations
  • Partner with Operations-Leadership to own relationships with US-based 3PLs and warehouse partners
  • Ensure operational excellence across inbound receiving, inventory management, kitting support, and outbound fulfillment
  • Monitor and enforce SLAs (receiving timelines, pick/pack accuracy, ship times)
  • Identify gaps in current logistics workflows and implement scalable solutions
  • Standardize SOPs across booking, tracking, and communication
  • Maintain accurate logistics data across NetSuite and internal trackers

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in logistics and/or supply chain management
  • Experience with transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution
  • Experience with international shipping regulations (APAC & EMEA regions), customs procedures, and compliance requirements, including HTS codes and duty calculations
  • Proven track record in negotiation, contract management, and cost control strategies
  • Experience implementing TMS tracking systems to aggregate freight data
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Experience working with NetSuite or other ERP systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
