About the role
- Lead a team managing risks for Technology Business Units within Truist Financial. Engage with leadership to ensure compliance and provide risk-related insights.
Responsibilities
- Engage with Technology Business Unit leadership in its management of risks and controls
- Lead a team of risk professionals to support the execution of enterprise risk programs
- Provide strategic insight, risk advice and influence to assigned Business Unit
- Aggregate, integrate, correlate and report risks for assigned Business Unit
- Present risk aggregation, key risks and emerging risks to senior Business Unit Leadership
- Identify and opine on remediation to address weaknesses related to inadequate or failed processes
- Assist business line leadership with identifying, assessing, controlling, mitigating, and communicating risks associated with business processes and decisions.
- Communicate with assigned business unit’s leadership regarding activities, trends, and events pertaining to risk, regulatory, audit and loan review activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or science/academic field, or equivalent education and related training or experience
- 8+ years of risk management experience in financial services or related field
- 6+ years of leadership experience
- Subject matter expertise in assigned/specified line of business
- Broad risk and regulatory knowledge with an emphasis on: Credit, Market, Liquidity, Compliance, Operational, Reputation and Strategic Risks
- Strong quantitative, governance, and analytic abilities
- Ability to provide effective challenge to senior leaders and business partners.
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
- Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
