About the role

  • Controller/Buchhalter supporting operational finance tasks including budgeting and financial reporting for clients. Working on various projects with a focus on financial process optimization.

Responsibilities

  • You support our clients in day-to-day operational finance matters such as budget planning, planned vs. actual comparisons, ad-hoc analyses, and the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB) and international standards (e.g., IFRS, US-GAAP), gradually building your expertise across all finance areas.
  • In addition, you work conceptually on projects such as the creation and further development of management reports (e.g., using analytics tools).
  • Design and implementation of new process structures in general ledger and subledger processes as well as in classic controlling processes (budgeting, planning, reporting).
  • Implementation of new accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 16) and the development of new accounting guidelines.

Requirements

  • Degree in economics/business administration, ideally with a focus on accounting and controlling, or a comparable commercial vocational training.
  • At least 2–7 years of professional experience in accounting or controlling.
  • Confident use of a common ERP system (e.g., SAP or DATEV) and good MS Office skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required in a consulting environment.
  • Teamwork, strong communication skills and pronounced analytical abilities.
  • Fluent German language skills.
  • A high degree of initiative and enjoyment of independent project work.
