About the role

Software Engineer II in Workday Integration at Travelers, leading design and development for system assignments. Engage with stakeholders to deliver technical solutions efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

Primary lead in the Software Engineering Workday Integration space, to include performing analysis, design, development, and configuration functions (includes defining technical requirements) with a high degree of accuracy and speed.
Understands the political nature of the organization and works appropriately within it; effectively establishes collaborative relationships and alliances throughout the organization.
Perform analysis, assessment and resolution for defects and incidents of advanced complexity and escalate appropriately.
Work independently to tackle well-scoped and loosely scoped problems.
Seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and capabilities.
Understands impacts of changes to Workday.
Identify potential impacts in other systems domains.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced employees.
Perform production support/troubleshooting: Leads troubleshooting and defect resolution.
Responsible for change, defect and enhancement request process and assignment of approved work for team.

Four years of programming/development experience.
Two years of Workday Experience in building integrations using Report Writer, EIB, and Workday Studio needed.
Workday Extend knowledge and experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related STEM field, or its equivalent in education and/or work experience.
4 additional years of software engineering experience.
