About the role

Senior Architect overseeing DevSecOps Platform Transformation at Travelers. Building relationships across engineering teams and advocating for technical direction with a focus on AI-powered solutions.

Responsibilities

Build trust-based relationships with engineering leaders and practitioners across all lines of business.
Responsible for architecture within one or more segments or domains for a single business unit.
Advocate for engineering customers while balancing enterprise compliance standards.
Help define and lead technology proof of concepts to ensure feasibility of architecture solutions.
Participate in driving continuous technology transformation to minimize technical debt.
Conduct hands-on prototyping and technology proof of concepts.
Partner with leadership to ensure proper alignment with technology direction and execution of proof of technologies.
Define target state architecture and roadmaps.
Proactively identify opportunities from emerging technology trends to minimize technical debt.
Support technology modernization initiatives.
Deliver comprehensive communications about architectural direction.
Cultivate strong relationships and secure buy-in.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s in technology related field or equivalent, with 8 years of architecture experience.
Currently active in DevSecOps platform architecture with deep hands-on experience.
Expert knowledge of CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, AWS CDK)
Deep understanding of artifact management, secrets management, supply chain security.
Current AWS cloud architecture certification or equivalent depth.
Software engineering background with ability to evaluate approaches and guide implementation.
Understanding of agentic solution architectures and AI-assisted engineering workflows.
Strong architecture and recent hands-on engineering experience with modern technologies.
Successfully architected large scale technology initiatives.
