Responsibilities
Supporting system design, integration, testing, verification, and validation activities across STREAMS® and associated ITS systems.
Assisting with system architecture development, requirements analysis, and configuration tasks.
Performing system configuration, upgrades, diagnostics, and fault investigation under senior guidance.
Responding to internal and customer work requests, supporting troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Preparing and maintaining system artefacts, technical specifications, and operational documentation.
Supporting continuous improvement of tools, processes, and system performance.
Assisting with integration of traffic control systems, roadside field devices, communication networks, and smart motorway technologies.
Working collaboratively with software developers, hardware engineers, solution architects, and project managers.
Travelling to customer sites as required (local or interstate) for deployment or support activities.
Building strong working relationships with internal teams and customers.
Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering.
2+ years’ experience in systems engineering or a similar technical role.
Experience with client–server applications, basic networking concepts, and/or system integration activities.
Understanding of software–hardware interaction, troubleshooting techniques, and system lifecycle practices.
Strong documentation capabilities, including analysis, reporting, and technical writing.
Solid organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
Foundational knowledge of systems engineering principles (requirements management, modelling, verification/validation, configuration management).
