About the role

  • Director/Partner in consulting for the manufacturing industry at TMG Consultants. Focusing on business development, customer relationship building, and leading strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Business development & client acquisition: You identify new business opportunities, manage your pipeline and forecast, build long-term client relationships and are solely responsible for acquiring projects for the manufacturing industry.
  • Key account development: You systematically develop key accounts and expand our network within the DACH manufacturing sector.
  • Strategic partnerships: You work with C-level decision-makers to develop pioneering strategies, support complex transformation processes and ensure sustainable impact.
  • Consulting: You design and deliver programs for the manufacturing industry.
  • Leadership & company culture: You embody our corporate culture as a leader and take responsibility for the development of our team.
  • Thought leadership: You position TMG Consultants as a thought leader in consulting, develop innovative advisory approaches and represent our firm at the highest level.
  • Entrepreneurial responsibility: You actively contribute to the company’s financial success, assume growth and performance responsibility for the manufacturing portfolio and help shape strategic corporate decisions.
  • Innovation & excellence: As a member of the partner group, you continuously develop our consulting methods, refine our methodology toolkit and set new standards for excellent client service.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in a senior role at a management consulting firm with proven success in client acquisition and project responsibility, with a focus on the manufacturing industry
  • Deep expertise in the manufacturing sector, strategic thinking and the ability to understand and shape complex issues
  • Excellent academic degree (preferably a PhD) in a relevant field from a reputable university
  • Outstanding commercial skills (pipeline management, value propositions, proposals & pricing, C-level negotiations) and a resilient professional network
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strategic client relationships at C-level
  • Authentic leadership style with the ability to inspire teams and enable top performance
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills in German and English
  • Passion for business development and willingness to take on responsibility
