Industrial Water Process Engineer in Arcadis’ IWTO team requiring 5+ years of engineering experience. Engaging in industrial water and wastewater design projects with technical mentoring opportunities.
Responsibilities
Function as the process engineer on industrial water/wastewater projects
Apply processes and technologies for physical/chemical primary treatment, biological treatment, membrane treatment, adsorption, filtration, disinfection, thermal evaporation and crystallization
Receive technical mentoring and guidance from a senior process engineer
Delegate engineering or scientific calculations/ drawings to junior staff
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design teams to implement complex treatment solutions
Support implementation of projects from study phase through design, construction, startup and commissioning, and operation and maintenance of treatment systems
Assist in developing and preparing process design drawings, specifications, calculations, plans, and other technical deliverables for a variety of industrial water projects
Field work will be required, including but not limited to, surveys/data gathering, construction quality assurance, inspections, bench- and pilot-scale treatability testing
Assist with system commissioning and start-up, including training plant staff
Prepare and make presentations to clients and for professional meetings
Manage projects as necessary to meet both client and Arcadis’ expectations
Supporting business development including proposal preparation and meetings with clients
Travel as needed for meetings, site visits, etc. (up to 25%)
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of progressively increasing responsibility in the industrial water/wastewater field
