About the role

  • Salesforce Release Coordinator managing releases and deployments across multiple environments for enterprise-level Salesforce implementations. Ensuring smooth deployments with risk mitigation and compliance adherence.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate Salesforce releases across development, QA, UAT, and production environments.
  • Ensure compliance with release governance and change management processes.
  • Manage deployment activities using tools such as Salesforce Change Sets, Gearset, Copado, or similar.
  • Validate pre- and post-deployment steps to ensure successful releases.
  • Maintain environment integrity and coordinate sandbox refreshes.
  • Track and manage version control across environments.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for release-related communications.
  • Document release notes, deployment steps, and rollback plans.
  • Identify potential risks in release schedules and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Troubleshoot deployment issues and coordinate resolution with development teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years in Salesforce release management or related role.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with deployment tools (e.g., Copado, Gearset, Change Sets).
  • Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and release governance.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
