Responsibilities
Handling a caseload of first party and third party Cyber and Technology claims
Conducting investigations and analyzing and evaluating the information learned
Analyzing and determining coverage, liability and damages based upon the facts of each claim
Investigate cyber security incidents and determine the cause of network intrusion
Communicating timely written position(s) to insured and other required parties
Setting appropriate expense and indemnity reserves
Developing and implementing resolution strategies through negotiations
Proactively managing litigation and counsel
Preparing comprehensive reports and delivering presentations to senior claim leadership
Providing support and working collaboratively with business partners
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctorate degree preferred
Minimum of three years handling litigated coverage and/or liability cases as defense counsel or claims handler
Knowledge of both first- and third-party claims a plus
Excellent strategic thinking ability and execution skills
Excellent negotiation and advanced technical claim handling skills; knowledge of insurance coverage issues a plus
Superior time, task prioritization and desk management skills
An ability to communicate thoughts clearly and concisely
Ability to work with only moderate amount of supervision and employ a 'team player' attitude
