Responsibilities
Analyze and support arrangements between the PBM and pharmaceutical manufacturers, including drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts
Provide day-to-day legal counseling on operational and transactional matters relating to the PBM business
Work cross-functionally in analyzing complex transactions and to identify legal issues impacting the organization
Support strategic initiatives and development of new programs
Provide support to other legal team members as needed to manage complex legal matters.
Requirements
J.D. from ABA accredited law school/Bar membership required
At least 6+ years of experience in a corporate legal department or law firm, with relevant experience supporting pharmacy benefit management (PBM) or other healthcare-related businesses
Experience in fraud, waste, and abuse laws, particularly the Anti-Kickback Statute, strongly preferred
Experience in drafting and negotiating complex agreements
Possesses strong analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to make prudent, strategic, and pragmatic decisions, communicate effectively, and work well with others in a diverse team environment to resolve complex issues
Ability to professionally handle multiple contracts and projects in a thoughtful manner with advanced time management skills
Highly collaborative; excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to distill complex regulatory issues into practical, actionable legal advice
Intellectual flexibility; adept at reassessing priorities in real-time to ensure internal and external expectations are met
