About the role

  • Technical Support Engineer in microelectronics at Thales. Providing support and coaching for repair technicians and managing technical operations in Etrelles, France.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to repair technicians
  • Manage obsolescence issues and propose internal solutions
  • Provide technical coaching to teams and contribute to skills development
  • Respond to customer requests in collaboration with System Technical Support Engineers
  • Organize and implement technical knowledge consolidation for repaired products
  • Lead, manage, and validate testing operations
  • Act as the testing reference for spare/replacement products in production
  • Propose improvements for test equipment and methods
  • Prepare and conduct line-level audits
  • Update or create test procedures

Requirements

  • Knowledge of RF/microwave and microelectronics
  • Degree in Electronic Engineering
  • Experience in testing & validation, obsolescence management, and microelectronics
  • Investigation, fault analysis/expertise, and repair
  • Coaching and guidance for technical problem resolution
  • Rigour, strong team spirit, good analytical skills, and dynamism
