About the role
- Proposal Engineer responsible for technical and commercial aspects of Lifecycle proposals at Emerson. Supporting renewable energy, sustainability, and clean energy transition efforts.
Responsibilities
- Develop project cost solutions that meet customer needs, minimize technical risk, and position Emerson for long-term success
- Interpret customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and clarify technical and commercial requirements for stakeholders across the business
- Collaborate closely with Regional Engineering, Technical Advisors, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and other Emerson teams to incorporate all necessary information into high-quality proposal documentation
- Prepare and assemble complete technical and commercial proposal packages that align with customer expectations, internal standards, and contractual requirements
- Provide timely, professional support to Sales and customers regarding proposal content, scope, and pricing inquiries
- Ensure proposal information is generated, stored, shared, and archived in a structured, secure, and compliant manner
- Apply and continuously improve best practices, tools, templates, and processes to drive efficiency, consistency, and quality in proposal efforts
Requirements
- BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field
- Minimum 2 years' relevant experience
- Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into clear, customer-focused messages and documentation
- Demonstrate strong learning agility, specifically in new technologies
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and balance multiple activities, manage deadlines, and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
- Ability to travel up to 5%
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
